Supermarine Spitfire Mk.II RAF RCAF 411 Squadron

The County of York "Grizzly Bear" Squadron, No. 411 of the RCAF/RAF was formed June 1941 at Digby England.  Initially equipped with Mk I and Mk II Spitfires, the unit was later moved to commence operations over the English Channel and refitted with Mk.Vs. This model depicts an early weathered Mk.II Spitfire of the 411 Squadron, coded DB-R, and assumed to be aircraft number P7923.

The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft used by the
Royal Air Force and many other Allied countries through the Second World War.
The Spitfire continued to be used into the 1950s both as a front line fighter and
in secondary roles. It was produced in greater numbers than any other British
aircraft and was the only Allied fighter in production throughout the war.

Based on Marek's 1/50 scale Spitfire models, this model aircraft has been upscaled to 1/33 scale
and extensively redesigned. Along with many new parts including a fully detailed Cockpit,
the model has been updated with new textures and detail elements and completely repainted with historic livery.
