Details

The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt gained its impressive reputation in Europe during the Second World War. Dubbed the Juggernaut, was able to take as much punishment as it gave out and bring its pilot safely home. It was considered to be the "biggest, toughest and most dependable single engine Fighter of WW2". The "Jug" as it became affectionately named became one of the most outstanding Fighters of its generation and a Legend of its time. Loved or hated by Pilots, the "Jug" proved its worth in both the European and Pacific War theatres.

The P47-N, as depicted here was the last large-scale production model of the Republic P-47, produced primarily for operations in the Pacific War Zones. Increased Fuel capacity allowed it to function across the vast wastes of the Pacific Ocean.

Chautauqua, operating with the 463rd Fighter Squadron, 507th Fighter group at Le Shima in the South Pacific, flew missions to Japan, Korea, and China to attack such targets as shipping, railroad bridges, airfields, factories, and barracks.

Model 9 Pages, includes;
Photographic Cover Page,
Assembly Diagrams,
Internal Formers (Page)
6 Pages of Cardstock Parts.
