Details

Born of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, the X-35 competed against the X-32 and won the future fifth generation fighter title.  As a multi-role aircraft, it will work together with the F-22 air dominance fighter in the aerial battle space.

Fifth generation fighters are required to be the best and the F-35A is in line to accomplish this.  Planned as a replacement for Air Force, Navy and Marine Corp weapons platforms, never before has one aircraft been designed to replace four distinct aircraft, the A-10, AV-8, F-16 and the F-18.  In addition to being a multi-service aircraft, it will be a multi-national project, as eight other countries have expressed interest in the F-35, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Canada, Norway, Denmark, Turkey, Australia and The Netherlands.

This paper model kit contains parts for the F-35A Conventional Takeoff and Landing version.

Paper Model Details (1/48-scale version described): 728 parts on nine pages, with fourteen pages of construction diagrams.  Fully detailed cockpit with template parts for forming a clear canopy.  Fuselage and wing formers.  Boxed wheel wells. Rolled and detailed landing gear with layered wheels.  Separate parts for positionable control surfaces.  Includes parts for weapons (AIM-9, GBU, CBU).  Degree of Difficulty: 5/5 (small parts). If you enjoy building this paper model, please contribute a review!
